East West can sample for a number of environmental monitoring requirements such as surface water, groundwater, soil, plant tissue, wastes, liquids, composts, industry by-products, recycled materials, fertilisers, grain products and building materials. Environmental samples are analysed for a range of purposes including meeting statutory requirements of the Environment Protection Act 1970 and the Pollution of Waters by Oils and Noxious Substances Act 1986 and environmental Protection Licences. At East West we believe it is important to obtain samples that faithfully represent a waste or element of the environment from which they are taken. We have procedures and standards in place to ensure samples must be collected in the field are not contaminated during collection, and analyte concentrations do not change between the time of collection and analysis.
East West can assist with sampling and site investigations which leave you with peace of mind that the land you are purchasing is not contaminated. An environmental due diligence assessment is undertaken to determine any contamination status and therefore the associated liabilities that maybe be transferred with the purchase of the site. Soil samples are collected and chemically tested to ensure compliance with National Environment Protection Measures (NEPM) guidelines that specify national standards for a variety of environmental issues. East West can conduct basic contamination assessments, phase 1 preliminary contaminated site investigation, phase 2 detailed contaminated site investigation,
phase 3 remedial action plans, phase 4 validation and site monitoring, material classification for soil disposal and environmental management plans and pre and post occupation reports.
